August is #TreeCheckMonth -- a time to check the trees in your backyard and neighbourhood for any signs of deterioration. If you see something suspicious, post a pic to social media with the tag #treecheckmonth.
It is an initiative of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) who are responsible for managing non-native invasive species.
This week we will be featuring information about #treecheckmonth -- what is it, why is it important (spoiler -- early detection makes a BIG difference) and key info on the three biggies affecting our trees in Nova Scotia.
